After one season of playing softball at Cedar Ridge, junior Tori Dalehite has announced her commitment to continue her softball career at UNC Greensboro. Dalehite missed her freshman season because of a torn ACL suffered in her first basketball practice for the Red Wolves. Last spring, she more than made up for lost time. She was named Big 8 Hitter of the Year as a sophomore, hitting .582 with six home runs and 32 RBI. She was the starting 2nd baseman for Cedar Ridge. Dalehite continues to start for the Cedar Ridge women’s basketball team for head coach Felton Page. In fact, Coach Page was among the first people that Dalehite informed about her decision. Dalehite is the daughter of Danny and Beth Dalehite. Danny is a former right fielder for the Orange Panthers and was a member of the 1992 PAC-6 Conference Championship team.
