For the second straight week, the Orange Panthers will play football on a Thursday night.
Northwood Athletic Director Jason Amy tweeted Wednesday afternoon that the game between the Chargers and the Panthers, originally scheduled for Friday, has been moved to Thursday at 7 in Pittsboro.
Hillsboroughsports.com will broadcast the game starting at 6:50. Click on the website for a link, which will also be posted on Facebook and Twitter.
The junior varsity game will take place Monday, October 19th, at 6:30 in Hillsborough.
The change is one of many across the area due to Hurricane Joaquin, which was reclassified as a Hurricane on Wednesday morning by the National Weather Service. A flash flood watch has already been issued for this afternoon that will last until Saturday night at 8 p.m. Some forecasts have predicted as much as 6 inches of rain in the Triangle from Thursday until Sunday.
